echo.
The Rose City Sirens, in all of their incarnations, have been making sound waves... both emotionally and socially reverberating through the performance community within the queer scene for years now. This powerful collaboration of enigmatic women preformi...ng their unique style of neo-burlesque got their start at the Egyptian club, debuting in 2006. The founding members Savvy Danger and Delilah Sinn have not only been perpetually producing shows at the E Room, but also have frequented the establishment with loyalty and kinship towards the owners, staff, and customers. It has been a safe and loving home away from home for The Sirens since they very first began.
When the news broke that the bar would be closing down, as heart breaking as this news is for many, the Sirens felt compelled to produce one last show. To make that show free so all could come. To involve in this show performers from the past who also got their start on the E Room stage. To create a work of art, that would capture the essence of the immense amount of love and gratitude we hold in our heart space for this establishment and their supportive attitude toward not just queer, but ALL performance art. The Rose City Sirens started off as five members, and are currently a trio. The three original Sirens who are no longer an active part of the group will be performing in guest spots during the show, and no doubt captivate the audience with their talent and beauty.
Other guest performers we are blessed to have as well are the lovely, vivacious, Angelique DeVil, and the sexy, skilled boylesque group, Burlesquire, both of whom have also enjoyed a rich history performing on the E Room stage.
This show will be a bittersweet farewell to our beloved dyke bar, and we will be performing classic original material, most of which hasn't been performed in quite a while. This will be a night of reminiscing, love, goodbyes, and especially, as one chapter closes, the beginning of a new story! This show marks the end of an era, and the dawn of a new day. Please come join us and support us with your love and laughter!
